Toronto’s theatre community is grieving the profound loss of Stephen C. Flett, a great actor and cherished friend, who passed away recently.
Stephen was a retired member of the George Brown College community, a beloved local actor, and a devoted son. His true love was the stage, and over the years, he cultivated a rich circle of devoted friends who brought him immense joy and purpose. His passing, reported as being discovered in his apartment, has sent waves of sorrow through those who knew him.
The Stage Centre Productions family, where Stephen was a member, is devastated. He was an extraordinarily talented actor with a deep and abiding love for the craft. Off stage, he was known for his distinct laugh, dry wit, and love of the beach. Stephen appeared in several SCP productions, most recently shining in Season 49’s “The God Committee” as the wisecracking social worker Dominic Piero.
Many, including this writer who shared the stage with him in a 2015 production of *Robin Hood*, remember Stephen as an incredible talent and a generous scene partner. Our thoughts are with his family and all within our theatre community who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Stephen. You will be deeply missed.
