Dr. Myron Kenneth Guiler Obituary, President of Marietta Bible College and a Faithful Servant of the Lord Has Passed Away
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Myron Kenneth Guiler, beloved President of Marietta Bible College, affectionately known as Preacher and Apo. Born on August 10, 1934, he peacefully departed this life early on July 4, 2026, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of faith, dedication, and service to Jesus Christ.
Dr. Guiler’s ministry began in the late 1950s with pastorates at East Sunbury Baptist, Beaver Baptist, and Calais Baptist. Throughout his life, he was committed to spreading the Gospel and faithfully served the Lord alongside his wife, Linda Guiler. His annual visits to Marietta College’s Homecoming Sunday were eagerly anticipated, where he delivered powerful messages rooted in God’s Word.
In 1977, he founded Marietta Bible College, a training ground for thousands of students from across the globe. His emphasis on prayer and biblical teaching equipped graduates to become missionaries, pastors, and church planters worldwide. Dr. Guiler’s heart for missions took him to many nations, sharing the Gospel with passion and humility, even into his later years.
His life was a testament to unwavering faith and dedication to Christ’s Great Commission.
